RFID tag antenna is a transponder antenna of RFID electronic tag. It is a communication sensor antenna. RFID electronic tag transponder is normally composed of a chip. According to different materials and manufacturing processes, the RFID tag antenna can be divided into the following parts, metal etching antenna, printing antenna, copper plating antenna, ceramic antenna etc.
Printing antenna (including 3D printing antenna)
Printed antenna, the antenna circuit using a special conductive ink or silver pulp, printing or print on the base material, the biggest characteristic is not need to etch, and there is no obvious pollution. At the same time, the process flow is short, the delivery time is fast, the manufacturing cost is cheap, it is also one of the antenna development directions of the future antenna. However, due to the resistance of the conductive ink or silver pulp, the conductive material performance is different, as time goes by, the antenna performance will decline, especially in the UHF antenna and for its consistency and durability there are still some problems, this is the reason why the printing antenna is not the mainstream antenna nowadays.
Etching antenna (including copper etching antenna and aluminum etching antenna)
Etching antenna is the mainstream manufacturing process of RFID antenna, with the highest market and share the most mature technology. It is divided into traditional etching and precision etching. Among them, the traditional etching method mainly uses flexographic printing to resist etching ink, and the precision etching method mainly applies the first exposure development and then etching. The differences between them are: the precision etching method of antenna has got smooth lines, the line is apart from the line width and the tolerance is small, aluminum etched lines to minimum distance can reach 0.1 mm / 0.1 mm wide, copper etching antenna minimum line is apart from the line width£¬ it can be up to 0.05 mm / 0.05 mm. Points from the material can be divided into: PET, PI (polyimide) antenna, antenna PCB antenna, etc., including PI antenna is mainly used in special environment, such as high temperature resistance, chemical resistance.
Winding antenna (Copper around the antenna)
The copper wire is wound around the antenna, and the coil winding is used to make the coil winding fixed, and the number of turns is made according to the different frequency requirements. The manufacture of the antenna is mainly used for low-frequency 125-134kmhz and high frequency 13.56MHZ electronic tags. It is rarely used on UHF (except for the coupling antenna with ultra-high frequency micro modules). Its biggest advantage is in the antenna area or small volume, it still have good performance. But its disadvantages are low production efficiency, high cost, high product thickness, not easy to bend.
